Oyster Resilience!
Architecture, Visualization, Concept Design
2021 Busan International Architectural Design Workshop 2nd Place
Oyster Resilience! envisions a self-sustaining network of floating islands built from oyster shells and living reefs on the coast of Busan, South Korea. Through the natural process of biofiltration, oysters purify coastal waters while their growth contributes to the formation of protective habitats. The project explores how ecological systems and architectural design can coexist to restore marine health and strengthen coastal resilience. Developed during a 72-hr design charrette in collaboration with Tina Lim and Helna Zhen; Jerry led life-cycle visualization, motion design and site plan visualization.
